How Bitcoin Will Enable the Age of Abundance
During Bitcoin Wednesday on 2 November 2016, Arno Laeven will discuss the significance of the blockchain in our information-rich world.
Arno was the founder of Philips Blockchain Lab which explores the opportunities for the blockchain in health care. Ever since the late 90s he has been working in digital, mainly in the media sector where he helped realize the transformation from analogue to digital, and where he was hired to find “the next big thing” in computing. Arno firmly believes the blockchain will be one of the next big things in how we organise ourselves and transact with each other. As a digital strategy executive for Laeven Consult he focuses on the blockchain in health care, insurance, utilities, professional services and the creative industry. Before his stint at Philips he worked for Hearst, Corriere della Sera, Wolters Kluwer and Sanoma.
Since the late 90s Arno has been dreaming about the possibilities of a data avatar. With the blockchain (as well as AI, 4G and IoT) this dream is becoming more realistic. How will the blockchain enable it and what can you do to help realize the age of data abundance?
