Bitcoin Wednesday’s 2016 New Year’s Reception
Start 2016 off right with the Netherlands’ longest-running monthly conference dedicated to the digital currency revolution.
We celebrate the beginning of the New Year with presentations by:
Simon Dixon, CEO of BnkToTheFuture.com, alternative finance investor and author of the book Bank to the Future. Simon’s talk has the title “Disrupting Finance One Investment at a Time!”
Marcel Roelants of BitPay, which is a pioneer in the area of accepting bitcoin as a form of payment. Marcel is a member of Bitpay’s global executive team and has been General Manager for EMEA working from BitPay’s European headquarters in Amsterdam since 2015. Marcel will talk about important use cases for the Bitcoin blockchain.
Ella van Kranenburg is partner in the law firm of Keijser Van der Velden, a firm specialized in financial services regulations. Ella will explain the current status of the regulatory landscape for digital currency in the Netherlands in comparison to some other European countries.
Thomas Kemmere of BitcoinUitleg will provide an introduction to Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies and the blockchain.
Due to restrictions at the original venue, we’re changing the location to A-Lab, with plenty of room.
This event will be eur 10 euro per person or 8 if you use Bitcoin.
Bitcoin will be accepted here all night long at the bar as well!
Your RSVP here is required.
Tickets will go on sale at the door starting at 18:00.
Space is limited and advance registration is required.
Please RSVP now for Bitcoin Wednesday.
For those who could not afford to attend for whatever reason, drop us a line hello@BitcoinWednesday.com and we will make up for it next month!
You are invited to join us on 6 January 2016 for Bitcoin Wednesday’s annual New Year’s reception, including another program revolving around the important recurring theme of cryptocurrencies in Dutch society. As you’ve come to expect, networking will be at the heart of this event: run into your old, familiar Bitcoin Wednesday friends and colleagues and tell stories about the early days; meet the newcomers and share your ideas about the future. After a number of thought-provoking conference presentations, there will be ample opportunity for networking at the bar.
Mark your calendar for the first Wednesday of December so that we can raise a toast together to the increasing role of Bitcoin in Dutch society.
So that the digital currency revolution leaves no one behind, please bring colleagues, friends, family and neighbors with you.
Bitcoin Wednesday is an accessible event for anyone who has interest in digital currencies or the related technologies, a great chance to meet other like-minded professionals, and exchange ideas in an informal atmosphere.
Mark it down in your agenda; join us on Wednesday, 6 January. The conference itself begins at 19:00, but we gather at 18:00 at the bar for networking.
