Professor Jeremy Pitt from Imperial College London, an expert on the social impact of technology and intelligent and self-organizing systems gave a keynote in De Balie on 2 September 2015 during Bitcoin Wednesday. His talk considers the use of blockchain technologies and cryptocurrencies to address self-organization and self-governance of digital communities.

The video of Professor Pitt’s presentation explains what may be considered essential conditions for the emerging field of smart contracts which have recently been made possible by Bitcoin 2.0 technologies such as Ethereum.
