Profile: Rob van der Wouw

Rob van der Wouw is a self-employed professional network specialist, certified security analyst, certified ethical hacker, owner of Eureka Unlimited, and co-owner of RedLogic, a small company of ICT infrastructure specialists. He has over 27 years of experience in networking and security. Aside from this daytime profession, Rob is also active as sponsor and volunteer for the Amsterdam-based foundation for digital rights, Bits of Freedom. He has contributed many articles to Bits of Freedom’s Internet Freedom Toolbox and can often be found at Privacy Cafe events around the country organized by Bits of Freedom where he helps people learn to have more private and secure online experiences.

Rob is a strong supporter of privacy by design, durable energy, decentralization of power, cryptocurrency and the right to live without permanent surveillance or profiling whether or not it is conducted by a government or a commercial enterprise.

During Bitcoin Wednesday 26 held on 5 August 2015, Rob will give a short presentation about the basics of key signing, followed by a short demonstration of how it is done.  After the public demo Rob will supervise a live key signing, giving Bitcoin Wednesday members the opportunity to meet, verify each other’s online identities and their corresponding public keys.  If you would like to participate in the key signing, register in advance using this form.
