“Bitcoin’s Future Within Our Complex Economic World”
At the Bitcoin Wednesday conference on 1 June, 2016, Tone Vays, Head of Resarch for the data and research company BraveNewCoin, will give a presentation on Bitcoin’s role within the modern global economy.
Mr. Vays’ expertise is in economic trends, trading and risk analysis. He was a Wall Street insider for nearly 10 years, starting out as a Risk Analyst at Bear Stearns, and later becoming a VP at JP Morgan Chase in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. At the beginning of the crisis two Bear Stearns subprime hedge funds imploded, which led to the infamous bailout from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, followed by the merger between Bear Stearns and JP Morgan Chase a few days later.
Mr. Vays’ Wall Street experiences have had a strong influence on his perspective of the digital currency revolution. Ever since getting involved in the cryptocurrency ecosystem in early 2013, he has taken an active role in educating the public about the importance of the Blockchain technology and its role in promoting economic freedom. Before coming to BraveNewCoin, he wrote about trading and economics for CoinTelegraph.
He maintains a personal blog called LibertyLifeTrail that is focused on sound economics, privacy, free-thinking and adventurous travel. Mr. Vays holds a Masters degree in Financial Engineering from Florida State University along with Bachelors degrees in Mathematics and Geology.
His presentation will cover some of Bitcoin’s significant use cases, including its utility within the global economy from a historic perspective. He will address the price history of Bitcoin highlighting each of the major bubbles and the correction that now has us approaching the $500 price level. He will also talk about technical analysis and trading charts to get a sense of where the price might be heading next.
