An experienced consumer Internet entrepreneur, Eyal has raised over $100m from leading venture capital firms, including Accel, Benchmark, Polaris, DAG Ventures and Highland Capital. Eyal founded Contact Networks, one of the first social networks, in 1999, and Metacafe in 2003, a pioneer in online video with over 50 million active users at its peak.
Eyal Ron is a core contributor to Bisq, formerly known as Bitsquare, one of the world’s first decentralized exchanges. He belongs to the team designing the Bisq DAO, which has helped transform the organization developing the exchange into an autonomous self-executing second-layer solution on top of the Bitcoin blockchain.
