With every sensational hack in the industry, we are reminded of the growing importance of security for passwords and private keys. During Bitcoin Wednesday on 1 May, 2019, CTO Saul Schwartzbach of Prestige IT will give a live, interactive demo of FrostByte, his new Enterprise Key Management software.
FrostByte can protect digital assets from calamities such as the loss of $180 Million in cryptocurrencies experienced by the Canadian Exchange Quadriga CX. In that incident, Quadriga’s CEO allegedly passed away under mysterious circumstances, apparently taking with him the only password that could decrypt the millions of dollars of company assets that were held in cold storage.
FrostByte allows for centralized password management for completely air-gapped, offline, digital assets. It also improves fundamental security by keeping encryption keys and multi-user credential sets completely offline. The solution allows organizations to enforce governance of their private keys and allows for added security in the event of a personal tragedy or employee turnover.
Saul is an authority on cybersecurity, network architecture and cloud computing. In his role as CTO of Prestige IT, he oversees the development and deployment of his company’s blockchain security services, hosted, decentralized infrastructure, and Managed IT service offerings. He also serves as lead server architect for Prestige’s role as elected Authority Node Operator for Factom.
