The Next Bitcoin Bull Run?
Acclaimed trader and notorious Bitcoin maximalist, Tone Vays returns to Bitcoin Wednesday on 5 June, 2019 to teach us something about technical analysis and trading charts to get a sense of where the price might be heading next.
Tone is an expert in economic trends, trading and risk analysis. He was a Wall Street insider for nearly 10 years, starting out as a Risk Analyst at Bear Stearns, and later becoming a VP at JP Morgan Chase in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. At the beginning of the crisis two Bear Stearns subprime hedge funds imploded, which led to the infamous bailout from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, followed by the merger between Bear Stearns and JP Morgan Chase a few days later.
Mr. Vays’ Wall Street experiences have had a strong influence on his perspective of the digital currency revolution. Ever since getting involved in the cryptocurrency ecosystem in early 2013, he has taken an active role in educating the public about the importance of blockchain technology and its role in promoting economic freedom. He wrote about trading and economics for CoinTelegraph, and served as Head of Research for the data and research company, BraveNewCoin.
He has also been featured in several documentaries such as Magic, Money and Beyond. He now produces content for his website ToneVays.com and his Youtube channel about sound economics and finance. In addition, he maintains a personal blog called LibertyLifeTrail that is focused on sound economics, privacy, free-thinking and adventurous travel. He also holds a Masters degree in Financial Engineering from Florida State University along with Bachelors degrees in Mathematics and Geology.
At Bitcoin Wednesday on 3 October, 2018 Tone gave a presentation called “The Inevitable Collapse of the ICO Market” in which he celebrated the sharp downturn in alt-coin prices and explained what he believed it said about Bitcoin. At the Bitcoin Wednesday conference on 1 June, 2016, he gave a presentation on Bitcoin’s role within the modern global economy called, “Bitcoin’s Future Within Our Complex Economic World.” In that talk, he covered some of Bitcoin’s significant use cases, including its utility within the global economy from a historic perspective. He also addressed Bitcoin’s price history, highlighting each of the major bubbles and the correction that at the time head the market approaching the $500 price level.
