Tag Heuer Launches NFT Display On Smartwatch

Luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer has developed a smartwatch that connects to crypto wallets such as MetaMask and Ledger Live.

The device also allows its users to display their NFTs on the watch’s face. Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 smartwatches can be upgraded with this new functionality via a free update downloaded from Apple’s App Store or Google Play.

Once the E4 has been updated, the user can transfer multiple NFTs onto the device through a paired smartphone. The watch can support both static and animated NFT artwork. It also has a feature that resizes the NFT artwork and allows the user to choose from three hexagonal formats in order to best showcase the digital asset.

Circle Launches New Euro Stablecoin

Stablecoin issuer Circle announced the launch of new digital asset, the Euro Coin (EUROC).

The redeemable stablecoin is pegged to the euro, and will be released on June 30. The token will be issued on the Ethereum Blockchain under the ERC-20 standard, and will follow the same standards and regulatory features as USDC.

As per Circle’s website, Euro Coin will initially be available on Silvergate Exchange’s euro network. Distribution will then be limited to users who have an active relationship with the bank. Shortly thereafter, trading will begin on top platforms such as Bitstamp, FTX, Huobi Global, Anchorage Digital, Binance US, Ledger and MetaMask with support by additional exchanges expected later in the year. Circle claims that Grant Thornton LLP, an independent accounting and consulting firm, has been tapped to conduct monthly audits and attestations of euro reserves.
