CEO Alexander Zaidelson announced the launch of Beam, the second implementation of the anonymous MimbleWimble protocol, at Bitcoin Wednesday in Amsterdam just a few hours before the cryptocurrency went live on its main net. Beam is now officially the first MimbleWimble coin to go into production.
This talk was given during Bitcoin Wednesday’s celebration of the 10-year anniversary of Bitcoin’s Genesis Block on 2 January, 2019. The presentation introduces MimbleWimble and the Dandelion aproach to anonymity. It also includes important information about what makes Beam unique from its competitor Grin.
