Adrián Garelik, founder of Flixxo, gave the following presentation of his blockchain technology-based video-sharing platform at Bitcoin Wednesday on 6 September, 2017.
According to Adrián, centralized video distribution platforms like YouTube and Netflix have huge structural expenses, which add to the cost of content. Flixxo combines BitTorrent and Blockchain technology to store videos on the user’s computer and, in return, rewards them with Flixx tokens. These Flixx tokens can be used to buy content on the network and can be exchanged for other cryptocurrencies. To earn more of these tokens one can simply watch advertisements.
