Culture or Cult?

Ideas about our economic development are changing. What will the impact of Bitcoin as an open source technology be in this development? How is Bitcoin perceived and how does society’s perception of it impact its development?

Wassili Zafiris is a change consultant, high performance coach and expert on the psychology of money. During Bitcoin Wednesday on October 7, 2015, he will deliver an interactive presentation about the hidden assumptions of the digital currency culture.  He will also address the impact of this technology on society as well as the building blocks of any effective culture.

Mr. Zafiris has been an entrepreneur for 25 years.  He is half Greek and step-father to two girls and father of one. Being from two countries he understands the Greek as well as the Dutch mentality and how one builds bridges between cultures.  He is experienced in coaching and training day traders and foreign exchange traders in Amsterdam, London and New York.  He studies the psychology of money, investing, and the mindset of winning and losing, and teaches a two-day program about ‘the meaning of money’.

In addition, he is the former mental performance coach of the Dutch Women’s Volleyball team and co-author of the books Meaningful Profit and Appetite.  He is also a Climate Leader in Al Gore’s Project Reality.  In 2015 Wassili is completing a book called Happiness Is Depressing about the downside of our success culture and the unconscious problems that arise from striving for happiness.  He is also a board member of the ICF (International Coaching Federation) chapter in the Netherlands.
