Community Currency in Kenya

Will Ruddick, the director of Grassroots Economics, will present his experiences in community currency and the development of local economies in the face of the C19 pandemic. He has developed three community currency programs in Kenya since 2010, and previously served as Bancor’s Director of Community Currencies, where he applied blockchain tech to local situations.

Craig Steven Wright

Dr. Craig Steven Wright, Chief Scientist of nChain, claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. He is one of the most controversial speakers ever to present at Bitcoin Wednesday.

Crowdbank

Malcolm Tan, CEO of CrowdBank, which aims to offer cryptocurrency and retail banking services via the NEO blockchain. It also plans to introduce a CrowdBank cryptocurrency with a stable value that will be tethered to the value of the euro. Malcolm also serves as Chairman of Gravitas International, which provides ICO consulting and advisory services for more than 30 ICOs.

Cryptocurrency pioneer Alexander Vasylchenko is one of the industry’s most accomplished innovators. He will demonstrate the Sugi card, the first product from his joint venture with LHV Bank in Estonia, which he is currently integrating into the Bank of Lithuania’s LBchain project.

Alex Batlin is Founder and CEO of Trustology, a custodial wallet with instant transactions, customer support, institutional-grade security and insurance coverage for both businesses and individuals. He was previously Global Blockchain Lead and Head of the Emerging Business and Technology team at BNY Mellon and prior to that worked for UBS, Nomura and JP Morgan.

Simon Lelieveldt is a regulatory consultant involved in issues such as AML5 for crypto-exchanges and the application of PSD2 for near-payment business solution providers and previously worked for The Central Bank of The Netherlands.

Cypherpunk

Phil Zimmermann is the creator of PGP, a veteran of the Cryptowars and pioneer of the cypherpunk movement, which is a forerunner of the digital currency revolution.
