About The Venue

Built in the 17th Century by architects Daniël Stalpaert and Adriaan Dortsman, the Oosterkerk is a national monument, a Dutch Reformed church that was restored in the 1980s.  Church services were discontinued in 1962, and the place is currently a destination for concerts, exhibitions, and other events.

Artis Zoo

Among the oldest zoological gardens in Europe, Natura Artis Magistra, nicknamed Artis, was opened for the public in 1938. Other than the regular animal exhibits, some of the other attractions here, are the aquarium and planetarium.

Amsterdam Maritime History Museum

In existence for more than 350 years, the Amsterdam Maritime History Museum is one of the oldest cultural institutions in the city. The museum displays Dutch Maritime culture, and has a beautiful waterfront. Renovated in 2007 by Liesbeth van der Pol, more than 75 million Euros were spent in making the museum what it is today. The place is open 7 days a week between 9:00 and 17:00, and offers guided tours for visitors.
