Uphold’s digital money platform serves 1.7 million customers globally and has processed almost $6 billion in transactions to date. It supports e-commerce services, international remittances, trading and payments between cryptocurrencies, national currencies, precious metals and yield/credit products. It has also started offering crypto-backed debit cards. The company projects revenue for 2020 to be up 240% from last year, and has already seen Bitcoin trading volume increase 250% with 375% more new customers in the first quarer of 2020 compared to 2019.
During his talk, J.P. will discuss the current financial climate, including his thoughts on Bitcoin adoption and fiat currency debasement.

J.P. has founded and co-founded a number of companies in the real estate, agriculture and technology sectors, in addition to Uphold. He previously worked for nine years at the technology investment bank Hambrecht & Quist, where he was responsible for the formation and management of the firm’s Latin American activities. He received a BA from Yale University in 1991.
