Security Token Adoption

Thomas Borrel, CPO of Polymath

Thomas Borrel, CPO of the security token company Polymath, will join us for the live streaming of our 84th Bitcoin Wednesday conference to be held on 3 June, 2020. His presentation will cover the barriers to security token adoption.  These types of tokens make use of blockchain technology to represent securities, financial instruments of monetary value like stocks or bonds.

During his talk, Thomas will go over the lessons learned at Polymath while working with the Ethereum blockchain for more than two years.  He will explain how to break the 4 barriers to institutional adoption for security tokens.  Polymath has also launched Polymesh, a Nominated Proof-of-Stake consensus blockchain that is purpose built for security tokens.

Thomas leads the Product Strategy, Product Management and Product Marketing teams across Polymath’s product portfolio. Prior to joining Polymath, Thomas was Director of Product Management at Extreme Networks where he led Extreme’s Software and Cloud offerings. He previously served as VP of Business Development & Strategic Alliances at BlueCat Networks. and holds a Master’s  degree from Toulouse University.
